Dr. Bethany Hsia, Dr. Gary Hsia, and  Dr. Karen Whala are co-founders and veterinarians of CodaPet.  They share a passion to increase both customer access and awareness by empowering a network of veterinarians that provide compassion and professional care to more pets and their families in a familiar environment.

"Traveling to a clinic can be stressful for some animals or even challenging for their families. I am excited to offer this gift as an option for families to say goodbye to their furry friend at home," says Dr Brittany Southern.  Dr Southern grew up in North Carolina and received her veterinary degree from Tuskegee University in Alabama in 2013. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship and then worked as an emergency clinician for a few years. She then completed a specialty residency in laboratory animal medicine and pursued a career advocating for the welfare of animals used in research settings.

Dr. Southern joins Dr. Valeri Love as the second compassionate licensed veterinarian to serve pets and pet parents in Gainesville, FL and surrounding cities including Dunnellon, Summerfield, Belleview, Newberry, Williston, Silver Springs, Interlachen, Hawthorne, Archer, and Ocklawaha
