The proposed annual **B.C. Pet Bonus** and a provincial **Pet Tax Credit** tax break seek to alleviate the financial burdens faced by many people with pets in British Columbia and recognizes pets as integral members of the family unit.

In a heartfelt appeal to the provincial government, the BC SPGA is proposing the **B.C. Pet Bonus**, which would offer financial support to pet families and individuals. Under this plan, families with smaller pets weighing under 10 lbs would receive a provincial non-taxable payment of $75 annually, while those with larger pets would benefit from a non-taxable provincial pet bonus payment of $105 each year.
