ATLANTA - AstroBug -- LifeLine Animal Project will host its first-ever Super Adopt-a-Thon on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 12–4 p.m. at Union Hill Park (1590 Little Pine Trail, Alpharetta).
In a major push to prevent shelter overcrowding, the event will feature approximately 150 adoptable dogs from all three LifeLine shelters — DeKalb County Animal Services, Fulton County Animal Services, and LifeLine's Community Animal Center.
The large-scale adoption event aims to connect families with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities — all of whom are microchipped, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and free of charge (over $250 in value).
The Super Adopt-a-Thon represents a focused effort to build lifesaving momentum while giving each participating dog greater visibility and more opportunities to find a home.
Among the dogs expected to attend are:
"I've always believed that when a community comes together with a shared purpose, lives change," said Erica Beard, Director of Client Services at Fulton County Animal Services. "A super adoption event isn't just about finding homes in one day — it's about building awareness, creating momentum, and ensuring every animal has the chance to be seen and chosen."
Because animals are adopted every day, participating pets may change as the event approaches. Visit LifeLineAnimal.org/super-adopt for more information.

ABOUT LIFELINE ANIMAL PROJECT
Founded in 2002, LifeLine Animal Project is Georgia's largest animal welfare nonprofit and the organization that operates the public animal shelters for Fulton and DeKalb counties – the only open-intake shelters serving those communities. LifeLine helps more than 46,000 pets each year, taking responsibility for every animal that enters the public shelter system. Beyond shelter operations, LifeLine leads the region in prevention-focused animal welfare, operating the largest spay/neuter program in Georgia, and providing free and low-cost veterinary care through two clinics and a mobile unit. LifeLine's community programs support pets and families with food, supplies, and access to care so that animals can remain safely in their homes whenever possible. LifeLine was created to build the lifesaving infrastructure that Atlanta needed and continues to strengthen the system that allows animals to leave shelters alive. Learn more at LifeLineAnimal.org.
