INDIANAPOLIS - AstroBug -- Filmmaker and agriculture advocate Jonathan Lawler, also known as the Punk Rock Farmer, is set to release his latest documentary, Puppy Mill. This powerful film delves into the often misunderstood world of Amish dog breeders, challenging the widespread narratives perpetuated by animal rights activists. Lawler's work exposes the unfair targeting of these breeders, offering a nuanced perspective on the practices of the Amish community.

Puppy Mill marks Lawler's most ambitious project to date, emerging from two and a half years of immersive research within various Amish communities. Known nationally for his pioneering efforts in addressing food insecurity, Lawler brings his signature aggressive and gritty style to this new venture, championing the cause of those he believes have been unjustly vilified.
