HOLLYWOOD, Calif. & CULVER CITY, Calif. - AstroBug -- Culver City, CA – On the evening of March 3rd, 2025, a sold-out crowd gathered at Jackson Market in Culver City to celebrate the historic Academy Award win for No Other Land, which took home the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature.
The Post-Oscar Iftar Night was a resounding success, bringing together a diverse audience of filmmakers, activists, and community members for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, culture, and solidarity. Attendees had the rare opportunity to meet and engage with Oscar-nominated Palestinian filmmakers Basel Adra and Hamdan Ballal, whose powerful film has captivated audiences worldwide.
The night featured a full Iftar dinner, unlimited Moonlight Mocktails, and delicious knafeh, fostering a warm and celebratory atmosphere. The event served as a space for meaningful discussions about cinema, advocacy, and the power of documentary storytelling to drive change.

The event was made possible through the generous support of The M Film Lab, Latino & Muslim Unity, and Entertainment Labor for Palestine.
Proceeds from ticket sales will go toward Rebuilding Alliance in Palestine, supporting humanitarian and cultural initiatives.
The overwhelming turnout and enthusiasm reaffirmed the importance of amplifying Palestinian narratives through film and the role of community-driven events in fostering dialogue and connection.
