Full Potential K9 caps its annual Northwestern Montana adventure at 10 graduate dogs each summer, and the 2027 camp runs July 4 through Aug. 15
BOCA RATON, Fla. - AstroBug -- Every summer, when South Florida heat keeps most pets indoors, Boca Raton dog trainer Dillon Mitchell drives a small group of graduate dogs (never more than 10) to Northwestern Montana for six weeks of off-leash hiking, swimming and mountain air. Owners stay home in Florida while their dogs spend 42 days at camp.
Full Potential K9 is now accepting new Boca Raton area dogs into the five-week Board and Train program required to be considered for the 2027 Montana Summer Camp, which runs July 4 through Aug. 15, at https://fullpotentialk9.com/news/montana-summer....
The trip is capped at 10 dogs each summer and is open only by invitation to graduates of Full Potential K9's five-week Board and Train program. Because returning families get the first chance to reserve a spot each year, the roster often fills before invitations open to new graduates.

"We're not simply taking dogs on vacation," said Dillon Mitchell, founder and head trainer of Full Potential K9. "We're giving our graduates an opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle their training has prepared them for."
Unlike basic boarding, the Montana trip is built for dogs that have already done the work at home. Full Potential K9 does not accept behavioral modification cases for the summer camp. Before receiving an invitation, a dog must show steady temperament, obedience, social skills and off-leash reliability.
"This isn't a rehabilitation program," Mitchell said. "It's an opportunity for well-trained dogs to enjoy six weeks of adventure, freedom, exercise and enrichment in one of the most beautiful parts of the country."
For Boca Raton dog owners hoping to earn an invitation for summer 2027, Mitchell recommends starting the training process early. Every dog at Full Potential K9 begins with a personal evaluation with Mitchell before entering a program.
Founded in 2019 by Dillon Mitchell, Full Potential K9 is a dog and puppy training company in Boca Raton, Florida.
